This apprenticeship consists of an 18 month, long opportunity to build on your organisational and communication skills and apply your ‘can-do’ attitude whilst working towards a Housing and property management / Skills England level 3 qualification.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
The job – you will:
Work and carry out the functions of the Rental Income Section – Rental Income, Welfare Benefit and Leasehold teams.
Deliver a range of administrative functions such as diary management, photocopying, scanning, filing and responding to requests for information via email, letter and telephone calls.
Maintain and update records and support teams with data entry and numerical data.
Develop professional relationships with your own team and with others who we work alongside and provide services to.
Build on your existing communication skills, gain invaluable experience and build your self-confidence through your day-to-day workplace activities.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Customer Service: Apply a range of customer service skills in order to provide a professional, accurate, timely, ethical and non-judgemental front line service which meets the needs of a diverse range of customers and stakeholders
- Communication: Demonstrate appropriate communication skills to enable timely identification and/or resolution of issues for customers and appropriate signposting to other colleagues and/or partner agencies.
- Collaborative working: Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve individual, team and business targets.
- Respond to vulnerability: Use skill and judgment to understand the needs of vulnerable individuals and groups(including those with complex needs) and respond appropriately
- Information collection and sharing: Use a variety of methods to identify, collect and communicate technical and other information in a confident and effective manner.
- Influencing and negotiating skills: Influence and negotiate with customers, partners and suppliers.
- Self Management: Organise and plan their own work to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines met.
- Problem Solving: Use a problem solving and flexible approach in their day to day duties.
- Tools and Equipment: Effective use of IT equipment and software, through administration and the appropriate use of work equipment
- Decision making: Effective decision making in order to apply the businesses objectives and priorities.
Training schedule
Training and Development – Within your role you will:
Complete a Housing and Property Management Level 3 qualification in the Income Recovery Team which will be funded by the Council. This will involve attendance at a college and/or completing tasks in the workplace (depending on specific course requirements).
As a H&F Apprentice, you will fully commit to the 20% off-the-job training requirements of the post alongside your normal day-to-day job. You will complete a course of study and all learning and development requirements of the role.

Other requirements
Be a Hammersmith & Fulham resident aged 16+. We encourage you to apply if you are a school/college/university leaver and would like to kick-start your career or fancy a career change. Applicants of all ages 16 + will be considered. You must not currently be qualified in the Level 3 Housing / Property Management Assistant qualification.
