Summary
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated member of staff to join the SEND team. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, & passionate about supporting students & their families. At JMHS, it is our ambition that students with SEND achieve as well as other students & we believe that the best support for students occurs in the classroom.

Actual salary of £11,775 to £14,652 depending on experience for your first year, then could increase depending on your age.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Your duties will include:
- Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.
- Supporting students in the classroom, or school HUB, and assist with delivery of curriculum.
- Assisting with group activities within and away from the classroom.
- Assisting with the assessment of children’s progress.
- Assisting with meeting medical, personal social and behavioural needs.
- Following the relevant procedures for ensuring that information and data is collected and recorded.

- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
