Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Looking after dogs' welfare
- Cleaning of kennels and cattery
- Feeding the dogs and cats
- Walking the dogs and providing exercise
- Monitoring behaviours of animals and looking for changes that need reporting to manager

- Apprentice will attend a half day online classroom session with college staff for theory
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade Level 2 or equivalent)
- Maths (grade Level 2 or equivalent)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
