Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice to join our internal Security Operations Centre (SOC). You will work alongside experienced security professionals to monitor, investigate, & respond to cybersecurity threats. You will build foundational skills in threat detection, incident response, & security operations.

Annual Wage will be between £20-24k. This will be discussed at the interview stage.

Mon – Fri, our working hours are 7.5 hours per day plus an hour for lunch (Daily hours to be confirmed). The expectation is that a minimum of 3 days per week are spent in the office (60% of the working week).

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Your duties will include:
- Learning to use an array of security tools such as endpoint protection, intrusion detection/protection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Monitoring security alerts and logs using the available tool set.
- Assisting with the triage and analysis of potential security incidents.
- Supporting incident response efforts under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Helping to document incidents, playbooks, and reports.
- Supporting security operational projects.

Training schedule
Cyber Security Technical Professional Integrated Degree Level 6. Workplace assessment and college block delivery (average 1 week per month).

You will need to have a DBS check or have willingness to complete one. You will also have access to learning and development programs through LinkedIn learning.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
You will need 3 A levels in maths and 2 other relevant/ STEM computer subjects or equivalent BTEC's and T-Levels. We will be interviewing for this position on Tuesday, 26th and/or Wednesday, 27th August. Please indicate on your application your availability to attend either of these dates.

After this apprenticeship
