Summary
In the role you will work alongside experienced staff to develop the skills needed to work with children, working flexibly as part of the larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues wherever required, in order to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.

1st year per hour: £8.98 Full time salary of £17323. 30 hours term time only pro rata actual salary: £11747. For 21-25 year olds 30 hours a week, term time only pro rata: £15967.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Your duties will include:

Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils.

Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.

To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.

To be professional and a good role model to the children and other staff members at all times.

To be responsible for the welfare of all children, working within organised systems to ensure consistent, high-quality, safe care.

To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining positive relationships.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
