Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Sawing Materials.
  • Assisting with setting CNC machinery.
  • Gathering tooling for machine set-ups.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Inspecting parts.

Training schedule

The apprentice will work towards attaining the Engineering Operative – Level 2 Apprenticeship, with training delivered two days per week at Weymouth College (term-time only).

Other requirements

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Weymouth College prior to your application being passed on.
