Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate tracking and management of stock levels
Ensure products are stored, organized, and correctly labeled
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping in line with company procedures
Ensure that orders are processed efficiently and accurately
Stock Replenishment: Help to maintain the stock levels in the warehouse, ensuring shelves are restocked and well-organized
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
Warehouse Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, including general housekeeping duties
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the warehouse and across other departments to meet operational targets

Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Requirements

Other requirements

No previous experience required – just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. A basic knowledge of health and safety practices (training will be provided) would be helpful. Transport links are not great into our location, so would need to be local or have own transport
