Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Receiving and sorting deliveries which can range from a few boxes one day to 12 pallets the next
- Accurately pulling stock for the production floor and completing the required paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Organising and booking out jobs, getting them ready for dispatch and completing the relevant paperwork
- Be able to effectively communicate with customers on email or over the telephone and deal with any questions or requests they may have
- Must be able to lift 15kg safely and comfortably (full training provided)
- Goods receiving the stock coming in via the delivery note and then booking onto the Orderwise system as well. Dealing with any discrepancies and ensuring that you notify the correct person if a PO comes in short or over

- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
