What you'll do at work
The graduate programme lasts up to 36 months and sits within Diligenta’s Finance Utility. This includes Banking & Payments, Financial Controls & Reconciliations, Specialised Services and Finance Change and Transformation Functions.

Diligenta’s scheme focuses on building a broad future skill set within our Finance Utility. The function is uniquely positioned in Diligenta to drive critical business outcomes, which both support the delivery of the Diligenta Corporate Strategy and provide value for our customers.
The scheme offers the opportunity to work in all the disciplines of Client Finance.
You will be working in a modern office environment with the potential for hybrid working, a relaxed dress code, and with a team that is here to support you in your career and personal development.
Duties will include:
- Work in the Banking & Payments, Financial Controls & Reconciliations, Specialised Services and Finance Change & Implementation teams on a rotational basis to gain experience in all areas of the Finance Utility
- Work on challenging projects with real business impact
- Develop skills in banking, reconciliations, accounts payable, reinsurance & controls functions, together with business analysis, finance and general project management
- Work with a designated mentor
- Benefit from the skills and capabilities of the global parent company, TCS
- Receive in-house training on systems, processes, and core brand values
- Work with our partner BPP who will support you in gaining a nationally recognised L7 Accounting and Tax Professional qualification (ACCA)

What you'll learn
Course contents

- Influence the impact of business decisions on relevant and affected communities based on an appreciation of different organisations and the environments in which they operate.
- Communicate in a clear, articulate and appropriate manner. Adapt communications to suit different situations, individuals or teams.
- Identify ethical dilemmas, understand the implications and behave appropriately. Understand their legal responsibilities, both within the letter and the spirit of the law, as well as be aware of the procedures for reporting concerns over potentially unethical activities.
- Take ownership of allocated projects and effectively manage their own time and the time of others. Demonstrate good project management skills to deliver high quality work within the appropriate timeline. Act as a role model and motivate others to deliver results.
- Evaluate information quickly and draw accurate conclusions. Assess a problem from multiple angles to ensure all relevant issues are considered. Gather the appropriate facts and evidence in order to make decisions effectively.
Your training plan
- As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Accountancy Taxation Professional Apprenticeship at Level 7. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the ACCA professional qualification
- The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace
Requirements
Essential qualifications
Degree in:
Accounting/Finance Maths, Science,Business or Law (grade 2:2 or higher in last 3 years)Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
