Summary
We are looking to recruiting a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to work under the guidance of experienced professionals. The apprentice will engage directly with students, providing both individual and group support to facilitate academic learning and help develop their social and emotional skills.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and
resources - Support pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
- Help manage classroom behaviour
- Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons
- Provide administrative support to teaching staff
- Participate in school activities and events

- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Your training plan
- Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND) Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required
- All learning is delivered online/ remotely alongside the role

GCSE in:
- English (grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent)
- Maths (grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent)
