Summary

Brampton Stables are offering an apprenticeship position for someone to join their skilled team. Some basic equine experience is required for this role, the skilled team at Brampton will help you further develop your knowledge, as well as offering BHS stages and additional training, such as safeguarding and first aid, if desired.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Brampton Stables are a busy riding school and are looking for an apprentice to come and work alongside the existing team, carrying out general yard duties, which include:

  • Mucking out
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Training schedule

Equine Groom Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
  • Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach

Desirable qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

Livery for your own horse may be possible but unfortunately, there is no accommodation available, so please make sure you can get yourself to and from the location daily before applying. This position is for 18 and under.

Coaching students for BHS exams are a specialty and a small team of full time students are learning the 'ropes'!
