As an International Freight Forwarding Apprentice you'll delve deep into the core components of this thriving industry. Through our industry-recognised apprenticeship program, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience, equipping yourself with the knowledge and practical expertise needed to excel in the field.
Find below the tasks and responsibilities you’ll undertake to acquire the expertise to seamlessly navigate the intricate landscape of Freight Forwarding.
Key Tasks:
- Master import/export processes and Cross Trade bookings
- Communicate seamlessly with our global network and carrier partners
- Check and issue vital documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations
- Monitor international air freight shipments from start to delivery, ensuring precision and timely arrivals
- Maintain real-time visibility on customer consignments, ensuring adherence to DSV protocols
- Handle FCL Transport tasks, including learning and routing shipments by road and rail, aiding our journey towards de-carbonisation
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Lead customer notifications and promptly resolve challenges to enhance customer experiences
- Nurture revenue streams in line with budgetary targets, managing quotations, invoicing, and supplier purchase orders
- General administration to support processes that make it easy for our customers to do business with us
Training and Qualifications gained:
- Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
