As an apprentice you will learn various print related skills at an established print company. There are many aspects to the role, including design, printing, finishing, operation of machinery, administration and problem solving.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As an apprentice you will assist in all aspects of print and print finishing.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Operating Litho, Digital and wide format printers and presses
- Operating Print Finishing machines for automated pack assembly
- Assist in stock control highlighting when stock is low.
- Provide cover for other team members during busy periods, absence and holidays
- The role is an apprenticeship so training will be provided to enable you to carry out the above role and responsibilities.

Your training plan
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a qualification in Print Operative Level 2.
Training for both the apprenticeship and the relevant skills to succeed in the role will take place at the workplace, with no requirement to travel to the training provider, BPIF.
The training and studying for the apprenticeship will be carried out via a combination of site visits from your BPIF Training Coordinator along with occassional remote delivery via Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
