Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Bloogs are looking to recruit an excellent new apprentice to work in their busy Salon on Gloucester Road. The Salon give exceptional training opportunities for the right candidate.
- Your duties will include meeting and greeting clients, shampooing, keeping the salon clean and tidy and assisting stylists throughout the day. You will be working full-time with a day off in the week.
Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16-18 year olds is fully funded by the government. Training for apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution
Requirements and prospects
- You must have a passion for Hairdressing,
- Love being with people,
- Be able to work as a team as well as on your own initiative.
- You must be Well presented,
- Hardworking and Friendly
No specific Qualifications required
The right candidate will have many opportunities to progress within the salon and future training available to Advanced Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3)

Everyday will be different and you will be required to spend most of the day stood on your feet
