T(n)S Catering at Diligenta are looking for a positive and hardworking individual to join their expanding business as a key member of the chef’s team. They are based in Peterborough and have contracts in education, healthcare and industry. The successful candidate will be passionate about catering and be looking for a position that is more than just a job.

The role will include, but is not limited to the following duties:

  • Handling of stock
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Preparing both hot and cold food
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work space
  • Washing the pots
  • Abiding by the health and safety regulations
  • Serving of buffets so there will be some customer facing elements to this role
  • Dealing with any queries the customers might have
  • Clearing down tables
  • Loading up the dishwasher and disposing of food in the appropriate way.

The company are looking for someone who is well presented, with a sound work ethic. Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable but not essential. They are looking for someone who is dedicated and motivated. Ongoing training may be offered to the right candidate.

Training provider

Training will be provided by City College Peterborough. Training is work based meaning you spend 4 days a week at placement and 1 day a week at college. This includes functional skills classes where applicable.

By the end of this apprenticeship you will have:

  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality and Catering
  • Functional Skills Level 1 English and Maths- if required
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
  • Level 2 Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
