    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Qualifications required

This role could be a Level 3 too, so please do not put off applying if you already have a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing.

There are no formal qualifications required for this role but you will need to be able to achieve a Level 1 in initial assessment at Chelmsford College.

Tuesday 9.30 -5.30 / Wednesday 9.30- 12.00 / Thursday 9.30 – 7.00/ Friday 9.30-5.30/ Saturday 8.00- 3.00.

Full time stylist.

Things to consider

You will be required to attend training at Chelmsford College one day a week as part of your Apprenticeship Course.

You will have to work Saturdays.
