You will be part of a small, dedicated team and will aid in the production of a wide range of specialist, handmade, precision tools for guitar making. You will be using a wide range of woodworking and metal working tools and machinery.

We are looking for someone with basic knowledge of workshop safety, wood working/metal working, tools and processes.

Personal qualities

The successful candidate will need to be a team player, hardworking, conscientious, confident and independent.

Qualifications required

GCSE or equivalent grades A-C in Maths, English and Science and ideally GCSE grades A-C in a Design Technology subject (RM/EMG preferred)

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices from October 1st 2015 is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The Wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Individuals who already have a Level 4 qualification are now eligible for a Level 5 or above Higher Apprenticeship only. They are not eligible for funding for an Intermediate Level, Advanced Level or Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship.
