Web Design Apprentice

Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Working as part of this specialist team based in Bromsgrove, you will be learning to create and develop professional web sites to the clients detailed web brief.
You will already have a distinct interest in web design and will have examples of your work to show the employer. You will be also be able to display a keen eye for detail and will know what makes a web page exciting and engaging.
You will already be accustomed to working to design a compelling web page with at least one, if not more of the following languages:
- HTML 5
Although you will already have a demonstrable interest in Web Design, full training will be given to develop your skills as part of the apprenticeship.
Requirements and prospects
This role would suit someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in web design
- Has some knowledge/experience of SEO techniques
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Has some experience in Content Creation
We are looking for a confident individual who is:

- Able to deliver consistently to a high level of accuracy
- Prepared to go the extra mile
5 GCSE’s between A* – C including English and Maths (or equivalent) while an IT qualification would be preferable.

With effect from 1 October 2015, the national minimum wage (NMW) for apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16 to 18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the national minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.The wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
