  • Answer incoming calls and make sure you pass them to relevant person if you can’t get through take full name of caller and company they work for and make a note of the time
  • Use call sheet to record incoming calls. Voicemails to be left on phones with messages if you couldn’t put the call through.
  • If we have visitors no matter who they are or how often they come in they must be asked to sign in the book and be given a visitor badge and if they go to the Factory asked to wear a Hi Vis jacket. If they are going to be here for a while always offer them a drink.
  • Check E-mails on reception desk either by printing the content and date stamping, or responding to the sender.
  • Open all post, date stamp and put In relevant in trays
    Any Purchase Orders you are asked to do need to be verbal then followed up with hard copy. All P.O’s must have, job number and name if not a stock item , full description of goods, agreed price, Qty required and delivery date and time i.e. AM or PM.
  • Before E-mailing or faxing these must have been signed by whoever asked for them to be done or another office person if they are not available.
  • check that any goods ordered for delivery the previous day have come in and are correct to our order if not then chase relevant company, this includes, pallets, glue, boxes, board, tape etc.
  • Learn how to do, TNT, UK mail and UK pallets, you will be expected to be able to do these online, print out the labels and documentation, print out / chase pod’s and get a price.
  • Monitor stationary and order replacement stock of toner paper etc…, assist the production team with any paperwork and generally help out wherever needed.

  • If the applicant in successful they can go on to a Level 3 Apprenticeship or into further training or employment.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour from the 1st October 2015. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training
