    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Things to consider

Applicants need to be aware that they will be working in a busy environment and it is a physically demanding job role.

You may be required to work varying shifts including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Shifts as follows:

Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 3pm, and 6pm to 10pm.
Sundays 10am- 6pm.
2 days off per week.

Owners Sandra & Danny Jimminson were trained at the Savoy Hotel in London and after gaining further experience working in Switzerland, France and other high profile London restaurants, decided to settle close to where Danny grew up on the border of Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire.

We pride ourselves in sourcing some of the finest local ingredients from Loughborough and the surrounding areas. Everything is made in house from ice creams and sorbets to the butter we serve with our daily baked bread selection.

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
