Duties and training will include:

  • All aspects of Butchery relating to Beef, Pork, Lamb, Chicken & more. 
  • The role will be predominantly focussed on Butchery, but will also involve the production of small goods

 Full training will again be given.

About the employer

Pipers Farm was born because, on the day that Will, our younger son was born, we realised how passionately we cared about the quality of meat produced on our own farm. We were determined to let other families like us be able to buy meat which was as good as it possibly could be.

We wanted meat from our farm to be available via a top-class “meat by mail-order” system, backed up by a first-rate meat delivery system. The number of our customers grew rapidly and so we were confident that there were plenty of families like us who wanted to buy meat of the highest quality.

Other information

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour from the 1st October 2015. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
