This is an exciting opportunity to join the experienced team at MJ Sections as an apprentice TIG welder, with mentoring from time served engineers you will develop the skills and knowledge required to become an integral member of the team.

Annual wage
£12,979.20 to £23,200.32 a year

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 Friday 07:30 to 12:30

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

You will be required to attend Dudley College 1 day per week as part of your apprenticeship.

  • You will gain a Level 2 Engineering Operative - Fabrication & Welding qualification at the successful completion of your apprenticeship

Representing over 40 years of engineering innovation, M J sections is an aerospace and defence manufacturing company based in Netherton, delivering precision formed sheet metal fabrications and machined components to both UK and worldwide aerospace markets. We carry out fusion welding in the TIG and resistance welding processes, in a wide variety of materials including Titanium, Nickel and Cobalt alloys and Stainless steels. The TIG welding department currently weld both manually and on automated longitudinal and circumferential machines with machine gauges ranging from as thin as 0.25mm up to 50mm. (opens in new tab)
