We have a new and exciting opportunity for a keen individual looking for a career in Finance. This position will provide you with a broad range of knowledge and experience to start building your career in Finance, giving you a qualification whilst you gain actual work experience. You will support our Finance Team with daily operations.

Annual wage
£12,480 a year

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Training course
Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm with 1-hour for lunch (5pm finish if shorter lunch)

37 hours a week

Course contents
  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

    Essential qualifications

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • English (grade 4 or above)
    • Maths (grade 4 or above)

    Other requirements

    You will be based in the office in Blandford, with day release to college during term time to study AAT Level 2 You will also need to apply to the Bournemouth and Poole College for an academic interview.
