What you will do in your working day

What you’ll be doing.

  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the finance team, you'll support the department's day-to-day activities, with a particular focus on the purchase ledger.
  • This involves processing invoices and credit notes on two systems (our internal portal system and Sage), checking invoices against purchase orders, and reconciling supplier statements.
  • You'll also assist with monitoring a busy email inbox, data cleansing, and other administrative finance duties.

Don't worry if you have no experience in this area; your apprenticeship and our in-house training will get you where you need to be.

What you’ll need.

  • You’ll need high accuracy and attention to detail, good planning and organisational skills, and the ability to communicate confidently verbally and in writing.
  • You’ll be self-motivated and eager to develop the skills you’ll learn during your apprenticeship.
  • You must also be able to commute to Exeter College one day a week for the duration of the apprenticeship.

The training you will be getting

  • You'll work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration
  • Starting in September, you will need to attend Exeter College one day per week for your training
  • All other training will be arranged in-house

Develop into a permanent position within the Finance Team or elsewhere in the business
