What you will do in your working day

  • Completion of daily bookkeeping on Xero and Quickbooks Online for a wide variety of clients from
    different industries
  • Assist with preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with completion of monthly CIS returns
  • Assist with preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Support and assist the team with the completion of personal tax returns
  • Assist our marketing team with social media content
  • You will work with a varied portfolio of clients including individuals, sole trade, partnership and Limited companies. Most of our clients are small to medium sized businesses which means you will speak directly to the amazing entrepreneurs we help on a very regular basis. This gives you the chance to make a genuine difference to their families and their businesses.

The training you will be getting

You will be keen to gain more knowledge and will be surrounded by a team who will support you at every step. You will complete your level 2 Accounts or finance assistant, (Option to study level 3 or 4 AAT) whilst gaining experience in the workplace, and all your studying expenses will be paid for.

You will work primarily in our office, which is based on the outskirts of Earls Colne in Essex. Great transport connections along with country views. Makes for a lovely commute in! We are always open to flexible remote working with all of our team.

The successful candidate will be required to attend weekday courses, once a week, at First Intuition Chelmsford, Southend, Colchester or Ipswich to study towards their AAT qualification as well as mentoring towards the Apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviours. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be given the opportunity to continue your studies further. We would love to support you through ACCA or any other higher qualification you wish to undertake after AAT.
