Bowers Group are looking to recruit a Level 2 Engineering apprentice for our busy micrometer assembly department You would be joining a leading supplier of quality metrology instruments to organisations throughout the world, Bowers Group has developed into a respected global leader in the field of measurement.

Annual wage
£14,326 a year

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Training course
Engineering operative (level 2)
Working hours are 7.45am - 4.30pm, with 30-minute break for lunch, Monday to Thursday. Friday hours are 7.45am - 12.45pm. Day release is subject to Bradford college lesson times.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Engineering Operative Level 2 apprenticeship Standard qualification delivered at Bradford College's Trinity Green Campus on a day release basis. 
  • Diploma in engineering operations (skills) level 2


    Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge) level 2

  • Functional Skills maths and English if required, delivered on a block release basis at Bradford College.

  • Full-time permanent employment on completion of apprenticeship along with an opportunity to progress onto level 3 apprenticeship, subject to performance.
