What you will do in your working day

The main duties will include:

• To follow specific care plans put in place by the organisation as agreed with the residents and relatives

• Building relationships with the residents, being consistent with care provided

• To assist residents with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment

• To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the resident

• To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with residents including talking and listening to them about their interests

• To help the resident to maintain contact with their family and friends

• To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the client

The training you will be getting

• Adult care worker apprenticeship standard - Level 2 Diploma in Care.

• Functional Skills if required in maths and English.

• Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
