What you will do in your working day

  • Optimo Build Co Ltd build extensions and carry out internal alterations at clients houses. They complete one project at a time so you will be working alongside the team to complete all of the necessary work relating to the current project.
  • The daily tasks are pretty much all aspects of construction and building work, and will vary day to day
  • Site preparation and tidying, loading out, mixing up cement, brickwork, blockwork and stonework, demolition, groundwork, drainage, steelwork, and operating power tools.
  • The role will be suited to someone who wants to learn all aspects of building work specialising in brickwork.
  • Job sites will vary but you will be working in areas such as Raunds, Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Kettering, Oundle, Titchmarsh.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Bricklayer qualification
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
