What you will do in your working day

This position will work primarily at our Rothbury site, but will also travel to our other sites at Desborough, Corby, and the Kettering areas.

Job overview:

We are seeking a passionate level 2 sports coach to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality coaching across our schools and holiday camp programs in Corby, Kettering, and Desborough. As a Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprentice, you will play a key role in fostering safe, engaging, creative, and inspiring environments. This role is linked to our Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship, offering a unique opportunity to develop your career in the sports coaching industry. We are looking for someone who shares our company mission and is committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.

  • Support the delivery of PE lessons
  • Support/lead extra-curricular activities
  • Assist with school games competitions & events
  • Run/organise and support physical activity and engagement at break and lunch times
  • Support the delivery of our holiday camp provision
  • Administration tasks related to planning and evaluating coaching activities/projects

The training you will be getting

The blended learning delivery design encompasses a range of methods to engage apprentices and offers a rich and exciting programme. Your training programme will involve:

Things to consider

Candidates need to possess a full driving licence and use of a car. They must be confident and happy to travel to and from this school and other local school location(s) each day/week. Please only apply for this apprenticeship if the location suits your mode of transport and travel times etc. This post will involve physical activity so will require apprentices to be interested and passionate about sports and physical activity, and have sufficient a level of fitness. Candidates will need to be eager to work with children to enable their participation in activity.
