What you will do in your working day

  • Assist in the preparation and plating of dishes according to the restaurant’s standards
  • Work with chefs to manage portions, waste, and ingredients stock
  • Support kitchen staff in managing dietary requirements and customer preferences
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met according to health and safety regulations
  • Participate in stock delivery and waste management processes.
  • Display initiative and participate actively in team tasks
  • Follow all company policies and operational procedures

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard Qualification
  • Day release, one day per week
  • Middlesbrough College
  • The apprentice will receive ongoing training on-site and attend Middlesbrough College one day a week
    Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be awarded the title of qualified Commis Chef
