What you will do in your working day

  • To visit nominated Service Users, at times directed by the Care Coordinators and management and follow the Service Users care plan
  • To carry out all tasks in a way that demonstrates respect for the privacy, dignity and value of all users, irrespective of severity or disability or personal circumstances
  • Encourage Service Users to maximise their own abilities and skills
  • Actively encourage Service Users, according to their capabilities, to participate in all aspects of daily living activities
  • Personal care, where specified on the care plan and subject to appropriate review
  • Provide support as part of a caring team, liaising with informal carers, other agencies or professionals as necessary
  • Assist the management to maintain good relationships with other personnel involved in the care of the Service User, i.e. Community Nurses, Social Workers, G.P’s etc., as part of a caring team
  • As required maintain accurate and legible records
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

The training you will be getting

Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship which includes a Level 2 Diploma in Care. 

Functional skills in maths and English (if required).

Located at Taylor Care Norfolk based in Fakenham, Norfolk. Training will mostly be in-house but supported by Adult Learning. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Progression opportunities within the care sector, the ability to enrol onto a L3 or L4 apprenticeship. Promoting self-development and further skills.
