Responsibilities include;

  • Assisting residents with their personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assisting residents with physical disabilities using aids and equipment as required
  • Providing companionship, promoting mentally and physical wellbeing, engaging with residents in their chosen hobbies and activities
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ health to appropriate healthcare professional and ensuring residents safety is maintained
  • Supporting residents at mealtimes
  • Escorting residents to appointment and social outings
  • Completing records accurately and maintaining confidentiality at all times

Things to consider

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
