Summary

Assisting our in-house butchery team which is set within the family run renowned St Peters Garden Centre in Worcestershire. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a local business and start in a skilled career of butchery. As we have our own restaurant this role also offers regular time working alongside our chefs.

Hours
30 hours a week over 4 days, including weekend work. Butchery days 10:00am to 5:00pm and kitchen work 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Butcher Standards Level 2 Qualification
  • FDQ Level 2 Award in Food Safety
  • FDQ Level 2 Award in Health and Safety
  • FDQ Level 2 Award in Knife Skills
  • Level 1/2 Functional skills in English and maths if required
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date

Allowing for greater variety and depth of knowledge. You will enjoy customer care and enjoy presenting meat-based quality products to the highest level possible to our customers.
