What you will do in your working day

Since being founded in 1978, Sealey has grown to be one of the largest tool and equipment suppliers in the UK, with over 12,000 products. It is an exciting time to join Sealey as we embark on our expansion plans, which will see our site grow from 21 to 28 acres. 

Main Duties and responsibilites: 

  • Responsible for the administration of accurate and timely processing of supplier and other company payments, including other basic accounting functions
  • Registering supplier invoices and credit notes. 
  • Processing UK and international payments. 
  • Supplier account reconciliations. 
  • Telephone and email correspondence. 

The training you will be getting

  • The learner will be studying the Accounting Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
  • Day release to West Suffolk College.
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The role provides a first step to working within a purchase ledger department. Future opportunities include continuing to work in different capacities within the purchase ledger team and progressing there, or moving to a different role within the accounts department.
