What you will do in your working day

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Answering the telephone, filing, photocopying and scanning as required
  • Answering the door to greet visitors
  • Opening parcels and labelling parts under guidance
  • Arranging staff training with external companies and follow up documents
  • Updating training matrix and identify when staff training is due
  • Assist with arrangements for customer training
  • Creating and printing training certificates from templates for customers
  • Printing and collation of training materials for customers
    ISO 9001, support, logging customer enquiries on spreadsheet, sending out customer questionnaires, collating responses, maintaining approved supplier list, sending out supplier questionnaires, collating responses
  • Data input and updates for company contacts database (Salesforce)
  • Purchase Ledger, Process supplier bills, match off delivery notes, purchase orders and enter onto accounts programme, Process staff expense claim forms and match off receipts enter into Xero accounts programme
  • Assist with regulatory body document uploads to websites to ensure continued compliance
  • Tender administration support for sales for online rail tenders
  • Maintain adequate levels of office supplies
  • Maintain adequate levels of company workwear, PPE – Office & Workshop
  • Data input for product references and serial numbers updates
  • General updating and creation of word documents using the company template
  • Website admin, updating images, news documents as required

The training you will be getting

  • The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Business Administration Level 3
  • A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course.
  • This is a predominently work-based programme with College attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/College and within their contracted working hours.
