Darwin Group are looking for a Junior Design Technician to work within our specialist teams to help deliver outstanding healthcare facilities for the NHS. The role will involve the individual to become a pivotal team member to ensure the building information models (BIM) are completely accurate whilst also assisting with general engineering tasks.

What you will do in your working day

  • Utilise REVIT to produce and develop module manufacture drawings, design external SFS frames to suit architectural design
  • Utilise REVIT to produce and develop module installation drawings with related project specific site details
  • Liaise with internal design teams to ensure specification of modules are correct and all align
  • Liaise with internal production design team to ensure tasks are complete within allocated timeframe
  • Involvement in project handover stage through meetings/Microsoft Teams calls

The training you will be getting

  • Design and Draughting skills, knowledge & behaviours - delivered in the workplace
  • Level 3 BTEC in construction and the built Environment - Day release or remote delivery
  • End Point Assessment - knowledge test, practical test and presentation/interview
