What you will do in your working day


  • Manage paper care reports – print, arrange collection of completed paperwork, arrange collection of new paperwork and auditing (this may include scanning and saving and sharing with commissioners etc.)
  • Manage PPE cupboard and supplies of PPE on care packages.
  • Request, collect, print and chase staff availability
  • Request and save medication requests for MAR charts, save in correct file and update MAR chart tracker
  • Print MAR chart booklets and add to folders once notified by nurses as complete.
  • Arrange collection of MAR charts with staff teams
  • Type meeting minutes (either from notes or by joining the meeting to take minutes)
  • Staff inductions (arranging and completing)
  • Taking recruitment calls (prescreening)
  • Chase drivers forms and manage the spreadsheet
  • Chase missing care reports

The training you will be getting

Alongside your duties, you will also be studying towards the level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, which includes learning from business administration specialists.

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 3 Business Administration qualification
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if not already achieved)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Training provided by the employer and online with The Apprentice Academy
  • 1 to 1 coaching with an experienced coach

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Opportunity to progress to a care co-ordinator, monitoring care packages, doing risk assessments, etc.
