What you will do in your working day

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising orders and internal paperwork
  • Managing the shared email accounts
  • Handling queries through to resolution
  • Purchase order processing and progressing
  • Communication with site managers, designers, suppliers during the processing of live jobs
  • General filing duties
  • Call handling (filtering and distributing incoming calls)
  • Pricing products prior to estimating
  • Supporting the coordination team with daily duties

The training you will be getting

Level 3 business administrator apprenticeship standard.

Level 2 functional skills in English and maths if required.

Training will be provided by Solihull College and an assessor will be allocated to support you. Coaching in the workplace, on teams as well as scheduled sessions at the Solihull campus and time spent training will be part of the agreed working hours. At the end of your training, you will complete a knowledge test, portfolio with professional discussion, with a project presentation. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Learners will have the opportunity to progress into a full-time, permanent role with the Wattrus Group and may be able to further their qualifications in leadership and management or project management.

About the employer

The Wattrus Group is an established family business, based in Solihull. We are an expanding soft furnishings and flooring company, specialising in the manufacturing and installation of window treatments and floorcoverings in private client’s homes, new builds, and the hotel and leisure industry. On site we manufacture curtains, cushions and roman blinds, and have a team of installers who travel throughout the UK installing soft furnishings and floorcoverings.
