What you will do in your working day

  • Provide administrative and business support to Capital Delivery and the Social Value Lead.
  • Support in the evaluation of social value responses within tender returns, including mini-competition exercises with the newly established RBKC Housing Framework.
  • Monitoring social value performance in our capital delivery programme.
  • Support the social value lead to capture, measure and report social value outputs, ensuring all data are accurately maintained.
  • Coordinate suppliers’ attendance to social value focussed events, including meet the buyer and job fairs along with participating at these events to ensure maximum engagement with the community and other participants.
  • Liaising with and developing good relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including internal stakeholders such as Capital Delivery, Procurement, Estates and Environmental, Neighbourhood and Economic Development teams along with external stakeholders such as contractors, consultants, resident associations, and voluntary organisations.
  • To comply with relevant codes of practice, policies concerning data protection and health and safety.
  • Maintain confidentiality, and legal compliance.

The training you will be getting

You will spend 20% of your working hours gaining skills and knowledge to work towards the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) Practitioner Level 4 qualification. This will typically include attending workshops, on-line learning, webinars et cetera for one day a week. The remainder of your working hours will be spent on the job, working closely with the Social Value Lead.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

With experience you could move to more senior positions either within your own organisation or by switching to a larger company.

You might also work as a consultant, specialising in particular regulatory areas, such as net zero, modern slavery, or social and environmental impact assessments.
