PETA are proud to be working with Portsmouth Water Ltd to recruit and train an Engineering Production Technician Apprentice. This opportunity is a full-time role based across Hampshire and West Sussex.

Annual wage
£23,485 a year

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Monday - Thursday 08.00 - 16.00; Friday 08.00 - 15.30

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

As an Engineering Production Technician Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Maintenance Operations Technician Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Portsmouth Water, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. 

You will attend PETA’s Havant training centre for off-the-job training, one day per week.  
Your Level 3 programme will include, a level 3 Engineering work-based qualification delivered by PETA, and day release for 24 months to complete a level 3 BTEC technical certificate. Overall duration 45 months.

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

Over time, the role will develop to offer challenging new responsibilities to stretch your capabilities and understanding.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship programme, there is the potential to be offered a full-time position as an Engineering Production Technician.
