What you will do in your working day

As part of our team, you’ll be the first point of contact for general enquiries, providing helpful and efficient service that leaves a lasting positive impression. But that’s not all - you’ll also play a crucial role in safeguarding patient confidentiality, a responsibility we take very seriously.

Main Duties/Key Tasks at Newport Pagnell Medical Centre: 

  • Greet patients, doctors and visitors at Reception in a polite and friendly manner
  • Answer the telephone promptly and courteously
  • Make appointments using the computerised appointments system
  • Administer the procedure for repeat prescriptions
  • Open and sort all Medical Centre post, both internal and external.
  • Deal with general enquiries from patients and visitors in a helpful and efficient manner
  • Support colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly team atmosphere
  • To apply you will be required to be 18 years of age due to the employer requirements for the role.

The training you will be getting

You'll be studying at one day a week at Milton Keynes College for the Customer Service level 2 Apprenticeship

Based in excellent premises, our committed teams deliver a wide range of general medical services. We have two locations, one in Queens Avenue, Newport Pagnell and the other in Beaufort Drive, Willen. Our teams work across both sites.
