What you will do in your working day

  • Greeting and caring for patients during their dental appointments.
  • Providing chairside assistance to members of the clinical team.
  • Updating computer records and supporting clinicians with taking patient notes.
  • Setting up surgeries ahead of treatment.
  • Cleaning surgeries and dental equipment following treatment whilst maintaining strict cross-infection controls.
  • Preparing instruments and materials during treatment.
  • Undergoing training and studying as required to develop your skills and achieve your nursing qualification.

The training you will be getting

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
  • You will be required to attend off-site training with your training provider, this will be 1-day release each week (Travel expenses will be provided for you to attend this)
  • A Level 3 qualification which has been approved by the General Dental Council as meeting the requirements for entry to the professional register as a Dental Nurse
