The Sports Teaching Assistant will support the PE teaching team, to develop the enrichment offer to students, by delivering small group after school clubs and groups. They will also support with out of school fixtures - as such we would ideally like to appoint someone with a current/clear UK driving licence.

What you will do in your working day

  • Organising sports projects - Sports Days and fixtures
  • Mentoring of identified students to improve engagement
  • Act as a sports ambassador for the academy, to raise the offer and profile and participitation across the community
  • Run breakfast, lunch and afterschool clubs
  • Supporting the PE teachers in mainstream lessons
  • Plan, organise and chaperone fixtures with other schools
  • Manage the sports equipment and uniform - maintaining the inventory

The training you will be getting

Work towards your Level 3 Sports Teaching Assistant Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/remote). 

Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 8th best UK training provider)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Full-time role to be considered upon completion of the apprenticeship.
