    Wages: £200.00 per week, based on 40 hours per week for the first 12 months, after this time the employer will pay at least the national living wage for their age for the remaining duration of the apprenticeship programme.

What you will do in your working day

  • Completing general vehicle servicing
  • Maintenance tasks including in time more complex tasks such as head gaskets
  • Cambelt renewal
  • MOT repairs

This role will also involve the successful candidate attending Skills Group one day per week for the duration of the apprenticeship.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship Standard 
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (unless exempt)
  • An Autocare Technician carries out a range of services and repairs to cars, car derived vans and light goods vehicles

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • On completion of the level 2 apprenticeship the suitable candidate would then be considered for progression onto the level 3 advanced apprenticeship
  • There will also be an opportunity in the future to complete specialist courses such as hybrid and electrical vehicle training

Things to consider

A candidate with a driving licence would be desirable however this is not essential.
