What you will do in your working day

  • Establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
  • Supervise and support pupils to undertake agreed learning activities linked to local and national curriculum and learning strategies, e.g. literacy, numeracy, or early years.
  • The role may include supporting and implementing pupils’ personal including social, health, physical, hygiene, and welfare matters. To administer basic first aid and/or medication as required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Full-time employment.
 
Any successful apprentice who demonstrates the ability and necessary skills to carry out the role of an Early Years Practitioner, would be considered for any permanent vacancy that may arise in the school. This would be part of a further recruitment process.
