  • Annual wage


    £9.50 per hour in 1st year and then in line with Real Living Wage (currently £12.00 per hour) Free car parking Private Health Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme – available subject to successful completion of probation

  • Working week

    Monday - Thursday, Shifts to be confirmed. Half hour lunch break as well as 2 x 15 minute breaks.

What you will do in your working day

  • Setting/operating manual milling and turning machines to the standard set and run times
  • Create, load, examine and modify CNC programmes
  • Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine
  • Carry out machining of components
  • Work to specific processes

The training you will be getting

  • You will be working towards a Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • You will receive on and off-the-job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
  • You will be required to attend Cornwall College St Austell on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Possible full time employment on completion of the apprenticeship
