What you will do in your working day

A Property Maintenance Operative optimises property condition & quality, ensures buildings are well maintained to a high & safe standard. PMO's need to maintain high levels of quality of work, providing maximum satisfaction to customers, clients & the team. This role will encompass a wide range of trade skills such as:

- Carpentry

- Plumbing

- Plastering

- Tiling

- Decorating

- Minor Electrical work.

The work will be varied & interesting, delivering a quality & efficient service. 

The training you will be getting

You will study the Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard at level 2 by attending Hereford and Ludlow College or similar, one day a week in year one, alongside learning & working with experienced operatives during the rest of the week.

Depending on grades you will before taking your end-point assessment have:

- achieved level 1 English & maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades D to G or grades 3 to 1)

- taken the test for level 2 English & maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A* to C or grades 9 to 4)

On successful completion of the Property Maintenance Operative level 2 apprenticeship you will be able to apply for any related job vacancies within PPC. If you gain permanent employment with PPC you will continue to be supported in your learning & development.
