What you will do in your working day

  • Your assistance to the department will contribute to supporting the next generation of apprentices
  • You will be given the opportunity to experience different roles within the department to develop a sound overall understanding and will always be encouraged to suggest new concepts and initiatives, in order to continuously improve the quality of what we do. It's important to remember that administrators play a crucial role in any organisation

They help make things run smoothly and develop knowledge which make them extremely valuable. So what will you learn during your apprenticeship?

  • You will be the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries, dealing with these enquiries promptly and proactively in line with customer service standards and passing them on to the relevant member of the Business Development Team
  • You will support the College’s Business Development Team to achieve commercial/apprentice targets. As well as develop an in-depth knowledge of the College’s catalogue of commercial courses, apprenticeship offerings, funding steams and funding rules
  • You will assist with the commercial bookings received directly into the Business Development department
  • To assist with the follow up of outstanding commercial sales enquiries over the telephone and by email
  • To assist with financial tasks as necessary
  • Add new employers, contacts and enquiries to our Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) database
  • Keep the CRM database cleansed at all times
  • To manage the electronic files related to the Business Development Team, to ensure electronic files are easily accessible and updated
  • To maximise enrolment numbers for commercial courses and Apprenticeships including assisting with marketing campaigns
  • To have a proactive approach to business development, and to participate and contribute with ideas and suggestions to achieve targets
  • To provide administrative support to the College’s Business Development and Apprentice Recruitment team
  • To record all activities on the College’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database in line with College policies and procedures
  • To update and maintain records on the College’s CRM system in line with College policies and procedures
  • To organise literature and marketing materials for any events supported by the Business Development team
  • To organise team meetings, sending out the agenda, taking and producing minutes
  • To assist the Apprentice Recruiter with administrative duties as required.
  • You will assist to monitor the Business Development email inbox and respond daily to enquiries and distribute as directed
  • You will assist the CRM executive with running reports and carrying out employer surveys
  • To maintain a high level of customer service and exceed customers’ expectations, adhering to the College’s customer service standards and processes that are in place
  • To undertake any other duties as appropriate assigned by the Director and Head of Business Development
