What you will do in your working day

Little Achievers Nursery in the Park is an established nursery with strong community links in Skelmersdale. They adopt a fabulous Reggio Emilia inspired approach to early years and have a fantastic indoor and outdoor areas. They are looking for a friendly, kind candidate to join the team and complete their Level 2 early years practitioner apprenticeship.

  • In this role you will be expected to;

    Provide a high standard provision of quality care and learning opportunities for all children
  • Become confident in the delivery of a quality educational programme, working with a curiosity approach, Reggio-inspired and in-the-moment planning initiatives
  • Assist with the implementation of the routine within the room you are working in
  • Be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures
  • Gain an understanding of working with parents of special / additional needs children and other professionals to achieve integration and inclusion in the nursery.

The training you will be getting

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Achievers in the Park will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes: Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification Functional skills in maths and English if required This will be delivered through Little Achievers in the Park's dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
