Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- You will be working towards a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship Standard
- First Aid Level 3
- PA1 Safe Handling of Pesticide
- You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
- You will be required to attend Duchy College Stoke Climsland on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training

Other requirements
Chenson Farm is in a rural location with train links around two miles away. The employer may be willing to pick the apprentice up from the train station and there may be some flexibility depending on transport needs. This can be discussed at interview.
About this company
Chenson Farm is an organic chicken and beef farm with over 15,000 Chickens. We also manage 120 hectares of arable land managed over two 5 year rotations and a 7 year rotation.
After this apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity for full-time employment or progression onto a Level 3 Livestock Unit Technician course.
